Profiles on the Swissphone s.QUAD pager

What types of profiles are there?

A Swissphone S.QUAD pager can configure multiple profiles. Specific addresses can be assigned to these profiles. The pager has two types of profiles:

  • Select profile: A select profile is a "main profile," only one of which can be active at a time. If there are multiple select profiles on the pager, one of the two profiles must be selected. These profiles can be useful, for example, for people who work at multiple stations.
  • Toggle profile: A toggle profile is a profile that can have multiple profiles active at the same time. When there are multiple toggle profiles in the pager, it is possible to choose multiple toggle profiles simultaneously. These profiles can be useful for people performing on-call duties (BvD, OvD, HOvD).

It is important to know that there must always be at least one select profile configured on a pager. It is not possible to add only toggle profiles to a pager.

How do I see which select profile is currently active?

To see which profile(s) are currently enabled on the pager, press the round button once to activate the LED screen. The selected profile that is currently enabled will then appear at the top of the pager (in the example: Weesp). Toggle profiles are not visible here. How do I make a profile (in)active?

To make a profile (in)active on the pager, follow the following steps:

  1. Press the large round button once to turn on the screen, or hold it down to start the entire pager.
  2. Press the large round button again to open the menu of the pager.

  3. Navigate using the two navigation buttons (see image) to the 'Profiles' section and press the large round button to open it.

  4. Choose which profiles you want to activate or deactivate. Navigate using the two navigation keys. Select-profiles are the profiles with a small circle behind the profile name, toggle-profiles have a checkbox behind the profile name. Profiles that are already active are colored in (circle) or have a check mark (checkbox).
  5. Close the profile selector by pressing the back button.
  6. Close the menu by pressing the back button.
