Realerting in case of understaffing

You may receive an incident alert even though you are not available. This is due to the realerting for understaffing feature. This mechanism is designed to enable a vehicle to maybe be dispatched. In the event of an acute crewing shortage during an alarm, FireServiceRota can call in additional crew members with the appropriate qualifications, regardless of their availability.


Let's say there is a commander shortage. The system can then send a message to all commanders who are unavailable. This message begins with "[UNDERSTAFFING Co]" and then includes the alarm message. This allows for quick resolution of a understaffing.


You will receive these notifications via the smartphone app and on an enabled S.QUAD pager.
